Disorders: Alphabetical list of all inherited conditions included in GeneTests. Related disorders are displayed in a hierarchical fashion. links to participating international clinical laboratories offering molecular genetic, biochemical, and/or specialized cytogenetic testing; GeneReview links to expert-authored, peer-reviewed disease descriptions including information on the use of genetic testing in diagnosis, management, and genetic counseling; OMIM links to relevant entries on the omim.org Web site.
Search Notes: The “Disorders” search feature allows either: (1) a search that retrieves disorders in which the exact search term occurs in the name, synonyms, and/or related disorders; or (2) selection of one option from a drop down menu that retrieves first the exact match for the selected term, followed by closely matching results. Selecting the icon in the “Related Disorders” column shows the hierarchy of related disorders with links to Tests, GeneReviews, and OMIM.
GeneReviews: Alphabetical list of all GeneReviews with links to each chapter. Note: GeneReviews are NIH funded and developed and maintained by the University of Washington, Seattle.

Genes: Alphabetical listing of all genes included in GeneTests. Each gene symbol links to the disorders included in GeneTests caused by mutations in that gene.
Search Note: The “Genes” search feature retrieves a list of genes included in GeneTests that start with the exact search term and the disorders caused by mutations in each gene with relevant links to Tests , GeneReview, and OMIM.
Panel Directory: Alphabetical list of all multi-gene panels included in GeneTests. links to participating international clinical laboratories offering testing for that panel.
Search Note: The “Panels” search feature allows selection of one option from a drop down menu that retrieves first the exact match for the selected term, followed in some instances by closely matching results.
Laboratory Directory: World map that shows by location participating international clinical laboratories offering molecular genetic, biochemical, and/or specialized cytogenetic testing for inherited disorders. Selecting an area of the map retrieves a list of laboratories in that location.
Search Notes: The “Laboratories” search feature retrieves laboratories in which the exact term occurs in the laboratory name or director name, or location.
Clinic Directory: World map that shows by location participating international genetics clinics offering diagnosis and genetic counseling services to patients and their families with known or suspected inherited disorders. Selecting an area of the map retrieves a list of clinics in that location.
Search Note: The “Clinics” search feature retrieves clinics in which the exact term occurs in the clinic name or location.
